Terms of use
The terms for using CareerCraft Connections
What you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and how fees and refunds work.
Last updated 27 October 2026
The short version
- For attachment, we assess and place you; the host does not choose between students.
- You see the placement fee before paying, pay only through the M-Pesa prompt in your account, and get a receipt.
- If we cannot place you after you pay, or your placement is cancelled before it starts and there is no suitable alternative, we refund you.
- Applying for internships and jobs is free. Employers make their own decisions.
- Give true information, and never pay anyone outside the app.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and CareerCraft Connections (registered business name CAREERCRAFT CONNECTIONS, “we”). By creating an account or using the site you accept them. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 and the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Your account
- Give true, current information, and keep it up to date. One account per person.
- Keep your password private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
- Organisation accounts (hosts, employers, institutions, agencies) must be opened by someone authorised to act for the organisation. We review every organisation before it can use its workspace.
Two different services
Industrial attachment placement. We assess students and place them with host organisations. We make the placement decision; hosts do not interview or choose between students.
Internships, graduate programmes and jobs. Employers recruit and make their own decisions. Applying is free. We are not the employer and do not guarantee an interview, offer or job.
Attachment placement
- We place students according to their course, level, location, availability, assessment results and the places hosts have declared. We do not guarantee a particular host, town or start date, or that a place will be available for every request.
- Your placement is confirmed, and your placement letter issued, once the placement fee is paid.
- During the attachment you agree to attend as arranged, follow the host’s reasonable workplace rules, and keep your logbook truthfully.
- If something goes wrong, the student or the host reports a placement issue. Our team reviews it and may move the student to another host. Reporting an issue does not by itself cost a student their place or their fee.
- An attachment is training, not employment. The host organisation is responsible for a safe workplace and for supervising the student while on its premises.
Fees and refunds
The placement fee
- The fee is shown on the payment screen before you pay, and the amount shown there is the amount charged. Fees may change over time, but a change never applies to a payment you have already made.
- We take payment only through the M-Pesa prompt sent to your phone from inside your account. You receive a receipt for every payment.
When we refund the placement fee
- We cannot place you after you have paid.
- We or the host cancel your placement before it starts, and we cannot offer you a suitable alternative placement.
- You were charged twice, or charged in error.
Refunds are paid to the M-Pesa number that made the payment and are approved by two members of our team. The fee is not refundable once your attachment has started, if you withdraw after your placement letter has been issued, or if your placement is cancelled because information you gave us was false.
Tokens for career tools
- Token packs and the token price of each tool are shown before you buy or use them.
- Tokens are held while a tool runs and spent only if it succeeds. If a tool fails, the tokens are returned to your balance.
- Tokens cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another account, except where the law requires.
Internships and jobs
- Some listings are posted on CareerCraft Connections by employers; others are collected from employers’ own adverts and link to them. Each listing says which. Check the details with the employer before you act on them.
- The employer decides who it interviews and hires, and is responsible for its own recruitment.
- Genuine employers do not charge you to apply or to be hired. Never pay anyone to secure a job or internship, and report anyone who asks.
Career tools and Smart Applications
- Career tools draft cover letters, emails and CVs only from the records in your profile. Read everything before you use it: you are responsible for what you send.
- Smart Applications send from your own mailbox, only to adverts that ask for applications by email, and only under the rules you set. Until you switch on Auto-Send you approve each one. You can disconnect your mailbox at any time.
Rules for hosts, employers and institutions
- Give accurate information about your organisation, the work and the places or roles you offer.
- Hosts provide genuine, supervised learning connected to the student’s course, and use “Report placement issue” rather than turning a student away.
- Employers post real vacancies they intend to fill, and comply with Kenyan employment and anti-discrimination law.
- Never ask a student or candidate for money.
- Use candidate and student information only for the placement or role it was shared for, keep it confidential, and do not copy it into other systems or share it further.
What you must not do
- Upload false or altered documents, or claim skills, qualifications or experience you do not have.
- Use someone else’s account, or let someone else use yours.
- Copy listings or profiles in bulk, or try to get around security or usage limits.
- Harass, mislead or discriminate against anyone you meet through the service.
- Use the service for anything unlawful.
Your content and ours
What you upload or write stays yours. You allow us to store, process and share it as these terms and the privacy notice describe, so that we can provide the service.
The site, its design, software, assessments and the CareerCraft Connections name and mark belong to us. Skills and occupations data comes from Tabiya Kenya and ESCO under CC BY 4.0.
Closing or suspending an account
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We keep payment and audit records as the law requires (see the privacy notice).
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, provides false documents or puts other users at risk. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the acts of host organisations, employers or other users, or for listings collected from other websites.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.
Complaints and disputes
Tell us first at careercraftconnections206@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in your account before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
